If you can find any information about digital marketing by searching Google or asking ChatGPT (or DeepSeek) why do you end up wasting precious hours of your time without finding the right solution?
Many of the information about digital marketing is targeted for digital marketers not for small businesses owners. Just that, makes all the difference on how the information is presented and digested.
Small business owners want two things:
- Insights about digital marketing that help create a solid marketing strategy.
- Tactical information that leads to results.
Articles focused on results and relatable case studies for small businesses are ideal, however can be difficult to source. No small business owner wants lengthy articles filled with jargon that seems to only exist to confuse non-technical people. To make things worse, when you don’t have the technical skills, you don’t know where to start and what to ask.
That’s where the value of a newsletter comes in: relevant topics are curated and delivered straight to your inbox – as long as it is targeted for small businesses.
Well, I have some newsletters to share with you. All of them aim to help small businesses get results with digital marketing. They don’t follow trends for trends sake – they bring relevant, practical and valuable information to your inbox in an easy to digest language.

How to digest all information?
You subscribed to some (or all) of these newsletters and you are receiving amazing digital marketing articles every day or week. Now what? How to get a hold on all this information and select the ideas that apply to your business?
Here are some tips to help you digest all the information:
Create a Reading & Processing Routine
- Set a dedicated time: Allocate a specific time weekly (e.g., 30-60 minutes on Monday mornings) to read marketing newsletters.
- Prioritize the best sources: By curating these newsletters for you, you can choose to focus on the newsletters you feel more relatable.
- Use a note-taking system: Keep a document or app (Notion, Evernote, Google Docs) where you summarize key takeaways.
- Unsubscribe from newsletters: I know it sounds counterintuitive because I’m suggesting you subscribe to a couple of newsletters in this article, but if a newsletter isn’t adding value, remove it to keep your inbox clean. That’s the beauty of a newsletter – there’s no commitment!
Categorize & Store Useful Information
- Immediate Action (To-Do List): If a newsletter suggests a strategy you can apply immediately (e.g., a quick SEO fix), add it to your weekly task list.
- Long-Term Strategy (Ideas Bank): For bigger initiatives (e.g., a new content marketing approach), store them in a separate “Marketing Ideas” folder in Notion, Apple Notes, or Google Drive.
- Reference Library (Bookmark & Tag): Save valuable articles using a tool like Pocket or Raindrop.io, with tags like “SEO,” “Email Marketing,” etc., for quick access later.
Apply & Test What You Learn
- Choose one strategy per week: Avoid information overload. Implement and test one idea at a time.
- Measure results: If you apply a new tactic (e.g., changing email subject lines), track the results (open rates, click-through rates, conversions) in a Google Sheet.
- Review quarterly: Every 3 months, revisit your saved ideas and assess what’s worth testing next. There’s nothing wrong if a tactic you’re trying to implement fails as long as you learn from it.
